I was born in Rotterdam, in 1993 and still currently reside in The Netherlands; the country where inhabitants eat cheese all day, live in windmills and walk on wooden clogs. I always had a very rich imagination as a child. Animated television series contributed to my longing for an artistic career.

I went to college in Rotterdam where I studied animation. Shortly after that I realised that my true passion is illustrating. Creating whimsical characters and bringing them to live is what I wanted to do. I wanted to make people happy with my art, so I taught myself how to illustrate. The entire creative community is what fuels my engine. Staying in contact and acknowledging each others work through the internet is one of the most rewarding things imaginable. Besides that there are many artists that inspire and motivate me. I like staying in contact with all of them.

I’d describe my own work as very whimsical and happy looking, but always with a strong message. Outside of making art, I can occasionally be found at my local movie theatre where I have a subscription — I just love the movies (and popcorn!!). Besides that I like to read pretty much anything; a little bit of literature, some novels and of course children’s books.

I’m also an occasional podcast listener (I am a huge fan of ‘The Creative Peptalk’ by Andy J. Miller), but I also like to ‘jam out’ to various artists.
